Mixtapes

Recently downloaded the '11909' mixtape from the website www.onehundrednineteen.com, on suggestion, or imperative by an old friend, Joe Siegel. He may be involved in some way, but that is yet unclear to me...(Also the website is visually/graphically dope) (The song 'Fallin'' is my favorite)

Tangentially related, unbeknownst to most, there exists a 'grammys' type of award for mixtapes, called the 'Justos', post-humously honored the eponymous, DJ Justo, the founder of the awards.

Last's year's winner, Caltroit is stellar. I am fovever indebted to the Justo's for turning me on to it. The mixtape, as you may have elicited, is a collaboration between teh best of Detroit's rap scene (burgeoning) and California's rap scene.
